Warner is planning a re-release of this must-own film for those who dislike digibook-style packaging.
Warner Brothers has announced a re-release for 'Amadeus: Director's Cut' for Blu-ray on September 15.
The Blu-ray itself will be identical to the previous release with 1080p VC-1 video, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements including an audio commentary and documentary. However, this new version does not contain the audio CD, digital copy, or digibook-style packaging.
Warner doesn't seem to be discontinuing the other release at present time.
