The company's new sound bar lineup has been revealed.
VIZIO has announced the latest additions to its sound bar collection. The upcoming 2019 models include the 36" 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos System, 36" 3.1.2 Dolby Atmos System, 20" 2.0 Sound Bar System, 36" 5.1 System, and 36" 2.1 System.
"Identifying the right home audio solution isn't a one-size-fits-all approach, which is why VIZIO is continuously adding new configurations that allow users to tailor their sound experience to match their listening environment," said Bill Baxter, Chief Technology Officer, VIZIO. "From versatile sound bars that widen the soundstage and improve audio quality in smaller rooms, to our premium home theater sound systems with Dolby Atmos which deliver immersive, multidimensional sound at a great value, we're providing consumers with even more audio options to complement a variety of home entertainment spaces and budgets."
The 36" Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 System features a sound bar unit with left, center, and right channels, along with two up-firing channels to reflect sound off of the ceiling for simulated overhead audio. Likewise, the system includes two rear surround sound satellite speakers with up-firing channels of their own. A six-inch subwoofer rounds out the package.
Meanwhile, the 36" Dolby Atmos 3.1.2 System includes a sound bar unit with left, center, right, and upward-firing channels, along with a newly designed slim subwoofer that can be positioned underneath a sofa or hidden in a corner for convenient placement.
In addition, the Dolby Atmos systems also offer support for Chromecast built-in streaming, along with voice-control capabilities via Google Assistant. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity are included as well.
And outside of Dolby Atmos models, VIZIO has also announced a new 20" 2.0 Sound Bar with a compact design. The unit features two powerful full-range stereo speakers and integrated deep bass modules.
Finally, new 36" 5.1 and 36" 2.1 Sound Bar Systems have been revealed as well. The systems support up to 100 dB of sound and include new wireless slim subwoofers for bass as low as 50 Hz. In addition, the 5.1 model adds rear satellite speakers. Likewise, both models offer integrated DTS Virtual:X technology to simulate height effect.
Pricing has not been announced yet, but VIZIO's new 2019 Sound Bar lineup is expected to launch in spring 2019.
