Posted May 30, 2006 at 12:15 AM PDT by Unknown Author

Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release two waves of new HD DVD discs this August, featuring four titles led by the Oscar-winning musical biopic 'Ray.'

The first wave kicks off with the Jamie Foxx-starrer on August 8, which will include the same bonus features as the standard DVD release, as well as a Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 surround track.

Following two weeks later on August 22 are three hit thrillers, including 'The Interpreter,' 'Spy Game' and 'The Bone Collector.' All also include new Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 tracks and the same bonus features as the previous standard DVD releases. No exclusive HD content has been announced by the studio.

All titles will retail individually for $34.95.

Complete specs for both waves have been added to our comprehensive HD DVD Release Calendar.
