Michael Mann's big-screen update of his classic '80s television show, which grossed a disappointing $65 million at the domestic box office, will hit the format on December 5 in an Unrated Director's Cut featuring seven minutes of footage not seen in the theaters.
Technical specs for the HD DVD side of the disc include the Unrated Cut presented in 1080p/VC-1 widescreen (2.40:1) transfer and Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround tracks.
Supplemental details are yet available, but of course the release should contain all of the same extras as its standard DVD counterpart.
Universal has set a $34.95 list price for the title.
