Hide the children and pets: 'The Unborn' is headed to Blu-ray in an unrated version with footage "too shocking for theaters."
Starring Gary Oldman and Meagan Good, this tale of a demented, revenge-seeking spook scared up over $25 million at the domestic box office.
Rumors are flying that Universal will debut the Blu-ray in mid-June or early-July, but we're still waiting for confirmation of a definite date.
Early tech specs promise both the theatrical and unrated cuts presented (via seamless branching) on a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p video and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
There's no word on extras as of yet, aside from BD-Live connectivity. We'll keep you posted.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.99.
