William Friedkin's 1971 crime drama apparently has been re-released with a new transfer as a retailer exclusive.
According to Internet buzz, 20th Century Fox has released 'The French Connection (Remastered)' on March 6 exclusively at Best Buy.

The Blu-ray features 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Audio commentaries with William Friedkin and Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider, Isolated Score Track, Trivia Track, Deleted Scenes with optional Friedkin commentary, Anatomy of a Chase, Hackman on Doyle, Friedkin and Grosse Remember the Real French Connection, Scene of the Crime, Cop Jazz, Rogue Cop, and Making the Connection: The Untold Stories.
Suggested list price is $24.99, but the disc is currently only $14.99.
