TCL Releases 2019 6-Series 4K HDR QLED TVs With Prices Starting at $599

The company's new 6-Series Roku TV models are now on sale.
TCL has announced the launch of its 6-Series 4K Roku QLED TVs lineup. The collection includes the 55-inch 55R625 ($599.99) and the 65-inch 65R625 ($799.99).
The 2019 6-Series TVs use 4K LCD panels with Quantum Dot (QLED) technology for P3 wide color gamut capabilities. In addition, the displays support Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG high dynamic range formats, along with Dolby Atmos sound. Likewise, the TVs incorporate Contrast Control Zone technology with 100 zones on the 55-inch model and more on larger sizes. Meanwhile, TCL's AiPQ Engine is featured as well, offering optimized 4K HDR picture and upscaling through machine-learning algorithms. Finally, the 6-Series also utilize the Roku OS smart TV platform, providing access to over 500,000 movies & TV episodes, along with a voice remote.

In addition to the 6-Series, TCL is also set to release its new 8-Series 4K HDR QLED TVs later this year with advanced mini-LED backlight technology. 8K versions of the 8-Series are also expected to arrive in early 2020.
