Sony Preview Sneak Peeks 2007 Blu-ray Titles

With CES 2007 just around the corner, Sony is already previewing some of its most anticipated Blu-ray titles of the coming year in a new preview spot that made its debut with the upcoming release 'Gridiron Gang.'

For us tech geeks, those little pre-movie "Experience High-Definition!" teaser spots at the beginning of most studio's Blu-ray and HD DVD discs are always something to look forward to. So upon popping in 'Gridiron Gang' for review, we were pleasantly surprised to find that Sony has created a new, splashy spot for 2007.

Though not all that different from past Sony previews, among the tantalizing tidbits shown were clips for such as-yet-unscheduled hits as 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle,' 'Bad Boys II,' 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico,' 'Big Fish,' 'Lawrence of Arabia,' 'The Patriot' and (finally!) 'Spider-Man.' The ad ends with a full listing of the clips under the heading "Coming Soon to Blu-ray."

We also have to give Sony kudos for what may be the best pre-movie HD teaser we've seen yet -- every clip looked fantastic, and only made our mouth water even more for the likes of Spidey and what we assume will be the rest of the studio's 2007 Blu-ray lineup.
