The new lineup includes models that support high dynamic range.
Following a previous leak, full pricing and availability have been unveiled for Sony's 2015 4K Ultra HD TVs. The entire lineup features the new 4K Processor X1, Android TV OS, PS3 streaming game support, and flat-screen designs.
"Sony has always been the leader in 4K and our exclusive Sony technologies have been at the core of providing TV lovers with the best picture quality, no matter what content they are watching. Our decade of experience allows us to now improve color accuracy and clarity even better than before," said Taka Fujita, vice president of home entertainment and sound at Sony Electronics. "And now, by pairing our unrivaled picture quality with Android TV, we are setting out to provide our customers with the best user experience possible."
Sizes range from 43-inches to 75-inches and, with the exception of the 830C series, all of the TVs include Sony's Triluminos expanded color technology. In addition, the 940C and 930C series offer high dynamic range support, and should be compatible with upcoming HDR streaming content from Netflix and Amazon through a network update this summer. Finally, the 900C is also the world's slimmest LED TV, with a profile that measures just under 0.2 inches thin.
