'Saturday Night Fever' is coming to high-def, with Paramount Home Entertainment alerting retailers to an early-May Blu-ray release for the disco classic.
Starring John Travolta in one of his earliest and still most-famous roles, 'Saturday Night Fever' turned white polyster suits and disco balls into a global phenomenon, eventually ringing up over $100 million in domestic receipts.
Paramount has announced a May 5 Blu-ray release for the film. (The studio previously issued a standard DVD special edition in 2004.)
There are no tech or supplement specs available as of yet, but a package comparable to the deluxe DVD is expected. Stay tuned.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.99.
