Among them you'll find three 9.2 channel receivers and a pair that dish out 7.2.
Pioneer has announced five new Elite receivers for 2012, all of which are slated for availability in June. Though they range in price and feature sets, they all have a few things in common, like a more efficient amplifier that requires 44% less power than in the past. You'll also find control for three zones on all receivers, including a dedicated subwoofer output to zone 2. If that isn't enough, the SC-67 and SC-68 provide an extra HDMI output to a fourth zone.
The SC-65 and SC-67 are THX Select 2 Plus certified while the SC-68 is certified with THX Ultra 2 Plus. All three of these models offer true 4K passthrough for the time when that becomes a necessity. If music is more your thing, the SC-68 comes packed with a 192kHz/32-bit asynchronous USB DAC so you'll get superior quality out of your digital music.
Pricing will range from $1,000 for the 7.2 channel SC-61 while the SC-68 comes in at $2,500.
