Good news and bad news from MGM Home Entertainment today: the studio provided a sneak peek at its March lineup of Blu-ray titles, but also announced a street date delay for 'The Princess Bride.'
Originally scheduled to debut on February 13, 2007, along with 'The Usual Suspects,' we've received notice from MGM that 'Bride' has now been indefinitely postponed with no new date set. The studio offered no reason for the delay, with 'Suspects' remaining as scheduled.
MGM has also released preliminary information to online retailers for its March line-up of Blu-ray catalog titles. Expected on March 13 is an impressive slate of genuine modern classics, including 'Dances with Wolves,' 'The Silence of the Lambs,' 'Hoosiers' and the 1999 remake of 'The Thomas Crown Affair.'
No specs or further details are available, though we expect MGM to officially announce the titles early in new year. Stay tuned.
