The company's latest flagship mobile device has been revealed.
LG has officially detailed its newest premium smartphone model. The G7 ThinQ offers new AI features designed to enhance user convenience.
"The LG G7 ThinQ is strongly focused on the fundamentals and its launch marks a new chapter for our company," said Hwang Jeong-hwan, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "Through the combination of personalized and useful AI functionalities with meaningful smartphone features, this is LG’s most convenient smartphone yet."
The Android smartphone features a 6.1-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) LCD screen with a 19.5:9 FullVision aspect ratio and 564ppi. In addition, the Super Bright Display offers support for HDR10 with an industry-leading 1,000 nits and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 4GB/6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of internal storage, and a 3000mAh battery. An 8MP front camera and dual rear 16MP Standard/Super Wide Angle cameras are integrated as well.
Meanwhile, the phone also incorporates Boombox Speaker tech which uses the internal space of the device as a resonance chamber to deliver double the bass of traditional smartphone models. Likewise, the G7 offers DTS:X support for virtual 3D sound with up to 7.1 channel audio using earphones.
Finally, the device also provides several advanced AI features, including AI CAM with 19 shooting modes for intelligence-optimized shots; Google Lens for discovering more information about objects like landmarks, plants, animals, books, and text; and support for Super Far Field Voice Recognition (SFFVR) via Google Assistant.
LG's G7 ThinQ smartphone is set to launch in South Korea soon followed by major markets in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia. Full details on pricing and availability are still pending.
