The Korean electronics company is set to demo a new 8K panel.
According to a report from CNET, LG will be showing off an impressive 8K display at the upcoming CES show early next year. The 55-inch TV has already been airlifted to Las Legas in preperation for the event.
The 8K display features a resoluition of 7,680x4,320 pixels and 160ppi. The panel also includes over 20 display driver integrated circuits, and a brightness of 500 nits achieved through the addition of a W sub-pixel.
While the display is currently only a prototype, LG hopes to use the panel as a test for furture mass production. The LG 8K screen will be on display at CES 2015 in Las Vegas on January 6 -9.
