Henry Selick's stop-motion animated feature based on the popular children's book is rolling onto Blu-ray in August.

In an early announcement to retailers, Disney/Buena Vista has dated 'James and the Giant Peach' starring the voice talents of Richard Dreyfuss, Susan Sarandon, Jane Leeves, and Simon Callow for Blu-ray on August 3.

The movie is from the same team behind Tim Burton's 'A Nightmare Before Christmas' and features music by Randy Newman.

This release also appears to be a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, but specs and supplements haven't been revealed yet.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $39.99.
