Paramount has issued a new press release outlining its Q1 HD DVD release plans, including official confirmation of the high-def return of 'The Jack Ryan Collection' and a debut for 'The Kite Runner.'
Originally expected at CES, the press release
(which
can be read in full here) promises "something
for everyone" in a HD DVD line-up that features a "compelling array
of action-adventure, drama and family fare."
Although few titles were revealed that had not been already announced, the press
release does offer the first official confirmation of a HD DVD release of 'The
Kite Runner,' which is currently mounting Oscar buzz in limited release, and
the return of 'The Jack Ryan Collection,' which was originally scheduled for
a fall high-def bow but was ultimately delayed following a packaging
snafu.
Here is Paramount's complete HD DVD line-up for Q1 2008 (some dates still TBA):
January 8: 'Zodiac: Director's
Cut'
February 26: 'Beowulf'
March 4: 'Into the
Wild,' 'Things
We Lost in the Fire'
March 11: 'Bee Movie'
Also in Q1 (Dates TBA): 'The
Jack Ryan Collection,' 'The Kite Runner'
The latest disc specs for all announced titles can be found in our HD
DVD Release Schedule, where they're indexed under their respective street dates.
