Blizzard's digital card game already a big hit.
'Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft,' which is already out on the PC, has been released on Apple App store. The iOS version is iPad only, and naturally, supports in-app purchases.
The free-to-play title invites players to build their decks and compete online through Battle.net. An offline practice mode is there for players to learn the ropes and hone their skills, all with the lore of 'Warcraft.'
From the High-Def Digest Preview:
"There's depth there, the kind of depth only a trading card game can offer, and 'Hearthstone' opens up that depth with ease to new audiences. That in itself is wildly impressive, given the many years the genre has gone on as "hardcore only." One might even call it a mini-renaissance.
