The latest in the Harmony series scales back on the extras in the interest of affordability.
Harmony remotes are, generally, really impressive. LCD screens set higher end models apart from traditional remotes, and they’re equipped to control more devices than you should ever really need to. At the very high end, you can even get a full color touch-screen that's as impressive as it is practical.
The Harmony 300 doesn’t do any of that. It’s a nice looking remote to be sure, but there aren’t any of those fancy features we’re used to seeing from Logitech. Instead, the main feature is the $49.99 price tag.
Logitech’s newest remote is capable of controlling only four devices, but depending on your needs, that may be enough. It’s compatible with 225,000 devices and can be configured simply through a web-based computer interface.
