We're in for a cold July.
Following the debut of the first official trailer last month, HBO has released a second trailer for the upcoming seventh season of Game of Thrones with tons of new footage. The show is set to premiere on Sunday, July 16.
Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne continues. It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all play the 'Game of Thrones.' An original series based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series.

Season 7 is set to be the penultimate season of the series and will include seven new episodes. An eighth and final season will follow with a total of six new episodes. In addition, HBO is currently working with several writers and author George R.R. Martin to develop scripts and concepts for potential spinoff shows. Game of Thrones Season 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are now available on Blu-ray and Digital HD. Likewise, the series is available to stream through HBO Go and HBO Now.
HBO Go is currently available through the web, several streaming devices, and smart TVs as part of an authenticated HBO pay-TV subscription. Meanwhile, the HBO Now app is available as a stand-alone streaming platform for $15 per month.
