The streaming dongle now offers support for Showtime and Starz content.
Google has announced the addition of several new apps to its Chromecast lineup. The HDMI stick now allows users to stream movies and shows from their mobile devices or the web to their TVs through the Showtime Anytime and Starz Play apps.
With Showtime Anytime and Starz Play, Chromecast customers can watch current and past episodes of hit shows like 'Dexter,' 'Homeland,' 'Shameless,' 'Masters of Sex,' and 'Outlander.' Likewise, users have access to popular on-demand movies as well. In order to stream content from both apps, viewers will also need an authenticated cable or satellite subscription. In addition to the new video apps, Google has added support for several new games through the Chromecast, including 'Wheel of Fortune,' 'Monopoly Dash,' 'Scrabble Blitz,' 'Connect Four Quads,' 'Simon Swipe,' and 'Just Dance Now.'
The Google Chromecast is currently on sale for $32.49.
