Universal re-issues 'Evan Almighty' for a Blu-ray release on August 7.
Universal is celebrating its 100th anniversary by re-issuing some catalog titles and someone picked 'Evan Almighty' as one of the deserving titles. For those of you who forgot, 'Evan Almighty' is the sequel to 'Bruce Almighty,' where Evan Baxter (Carell) is contacted by God (Freeman) to build an ark for an impending flood.
Up until now, 'Evan Almighty' has only been available on HD DVD and import Blu-ray. So, any die-hard fans looking to get their hands on a domestic copy, this release is for you.
The release will feature a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound track.
It will also feature at least four Behind-the-Scenes featurettes as special features.
The suggested retail price is $19.98.
