New Line has announced plans to bring the big-screen adventures of 'Harold & Kumar' to Blu-ray in late-July, both with extensive bonus features.
Starring John Cho and Kal Penn as two best friends who bumble their way through a series of comic encounters, 'Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle' and its sequel 'Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay' will head to Blu-ray on July 29, the latter day-and-date with the standard DVD release.
The press materials describing the extras on 'Escape' give an indication of their comic nature, including a pair of audio commentaries "with the director and stars" and a second "with the director, the real 'Harold Lee' and the guy who plays George W. Bush," plus the "World of Harold and Kumar" featurette, 27 deleted scenes, and a George Bush PSA.
New Line has not yet announced supplements for 'White Castle,' but promises a package comparable to the previous DVD release.
Tech specs for both releases also remain TBA, but we'll keep you posted.
The suggested retail prices for both titles have been set at $34.95 a pop.
You'll find the latest specs for both Harold & Kumar flicks linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where they're indexed under July 29.
