Issuing a rare "pre-announcement," Disney says it's planning to bring the sleeper smash 'Enchanted' to Blu-ray sometime this Spring.
Although the studio stopped short of issuing an exact street date for the Amy Adams starrer (which is still going strong in theaters), it's promising a day-and-date Blu-ray and DVD release "perfectly timed for Easter," which would seem to indicate an arrival sometime in late March.
Tech specs for the Blu-ray of 'Enchanted' are set to include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video, and uncompressed PCM 5.1 Surround audio (48kHz/24-bit).
Disney has not yet revealed the entire batch of extras, but goodies confirmed to be shared across both the Blu-ray and DVD include three making-of featurettes, deleted scenes and outtakes. Exclusive to the next-gen version will be the interactive BD-Java game "D-Files."
Disney has set a suggested list price of $34.98 for the Blu-ray.
While we await a final street date and complete details for 'Enchanted,' we've added a listing for the title in the "Release Dates Pending" section of our Blu-ray Release Schedule. Stay tuned!
