Monsters, Time Lords, and more are coming to Blu-ray.
New info has been revealed for several upcoming Blu-ray releases from Starz/Anchor Bay, Severin, Lionsgate, Discotek Media, Sony, 20th Century Fox, PBS, FUNimation, Redemption, Acorn Media, Raro, Film Movement, Warner Archive, Universal, BBC, Image Entertainment, and Cohen Media Group.
Here's a full rundown of recently revealed details and title announcements:
First up, Severin is prepping Richard Stanley's The Otherworld starring Richard Stanley and Scarlett Amaris for Blu-ray on August 29. Supplements will include:
- The Making Of The Otherworld Featurette
- Limited 2500 Bonus DVD Includes VOICE OF THE MOON, THE WHITE DARKNESS & THE SECRET GLORY with new Richard Stanley Intros & Commentary
- Deleted Scenes
- Trailer
Discotek Media is bringing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: The Complete English Language TV Series Collection to Blu-ray on August 29. With that said, while the package will include all 52 episodes of the series dubbed in English, the show will be presented in standard definition only. No other details have been announced.
Lionsgate is releasing Sean Penn's The Last Face starring Charlize Theron, Javier Bardem, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Jared Harris, and Jean Reno on September 5. Supplements will include a Featurette.
In addition, Trey Edward Shults' It Comes at Night starring Joel Edgerton, Riley Keough, Carmen Ejogo, and Christopher Abbott will hit Blu-ray on September 12. Supplements will include "Human Nature: Creating It Comes at Night" - Featurette.
Lionsgate is also set to bring Taken: Season 1 starring Clive Standen, Gaius Charles, and Brooklyn Sudano to Blu-ray on September 26. Supplements have not been announced yet.
Likewise, the studio is prepping Johannes Roberts' 47 Meters Down starring Mandy Moore, Claire Holt, and Matthew Modine for Blu-ray on September 26 as well. No other details have been revealed at this time.
Film Movement will release Takeshi Kitano's Hana-Bi starring Takeshi Kitano, Kayoko Kishimoto, Ren Ôsugi, Susumu Terajima, and Tetsu Watanabe on September 19. The Blu-ray will feature a brand new remaster and supplements will include:
- Audio Commentary by David Fear, film writer for Rolling Stone magazine
- Making-of featurette
- Illustrated collector's booklet featuring essay by film writer Jasper Sharp, cast and crew credits, and production stills
Redemption has announced plans to bring Jess Franco's Killer Barbys starring Santiago Segura, Aldo Sambrell, Silvia Superstar, Billy King, and Enrique López Lavigne to Blu-ray on September 26. The disc will feature a new restoration from a 4K scan of the original film elements and an Audio Commentary by film historian Troy Howarth.
20th Century Fox is preparing American Horror Story: Roanoke starring Sarah Paulson, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Kathy Bates for Blu-ray on October 3. Supplements will include:
- The Paley Center for Media: Q&A with Cast and Creative Team from PaleyFest 2017
- Promos Collection
Sony is set to bring Jay Baruchel's Goon: Last of the Enforcers starring Seann William Scott, Elisha Cuthbert, and Liev Schreiber to Blu-ray on October 3. No other details have been revealed at this time.
Cohen Media Group has announced plans to release Jonathan Teplitzky's Churchill starring Brian Cox, Miranda Richardson, and John Slattery on October 3. Supplements have not been detailed yet.
FUNimation is prepping Drifters: The Complete Series for Blu-ray on October 3. Supplements will include:
- Inside the Episodes
- Episode 1 Audio Commentary
- Episode 10 Audio Commentary
- Promotional Videos
- Textless Opening & Closing Songs
- Trailers
PBS will release Dearbhla Walsh and Dan Zeff's The Collection (Original UK Version) starring Richard Coyle, Mamie Gummer, and Tom Riley on October 17. No other info has been detailed yet.
Acorn Media is set to release Midsomer Murders: Series 19, Part 2 starring Neil Dudgeon, Nick Hendrix, Anthony Calf, Sally Phillips, and Caroline Blakiston on October 24. No other details have been revealed at this time.
In addition, the label is also prepping The Fall: Series 3 starring Gillian Anderson, Jamie Dornan, and John Lynch for Blu-ray on November 21. Supplements have not been detailed yet.
Image Entertainment will bring Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott's Bushwick starring Dave Bautista and Brittany Snow to Blu-ray on October 24. Supplements have not been announced at this time.
The BBC is set to release Doctor Who: Twice Upon a Time Special starring Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie, Mark Gatiss, and David Bradley on February 20. No other details have been announced at this time.
Universal is preparing Dennis Dugan's Problem Child starring John Ritter, Jack Warden, Amy Yasbeck, and Gilbert Gottfried for Blu-ray on August 8. No other info has been revealed.
Likewise, the studio will also release Sam Raimi's For Love of the Game starring Kevin Costner, Kelly Preston, and John C. Reilly on August 8 as well. Supplements have not been detailed yet.
Starz/Anchor Bay is set to release two retailer exclusives for The Walking Dead: The Complete Seventh Season starring Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohen, Danai Gurira, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Versions will include a Best Buy Exclusive with a Lenticular Cover and Walking Dead bag, and a Target Exclusive SteelBook. No other details have been announced at this time.
Warner Archive is prepping Jack Sholder's The Hidden starring Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Nouri, and Clu Gulager for Blu-ray later this year. Supplements have not been revealed yet.
Finally, Raro Video is bringing Gillo Pontecorvo's Kapò starring Susan Strasberg, Laurent Terzieff, and Emmanuelle Riva to Blu-ray later this year. No other details have been announced at this time.
