Frank Marshall's adaptation of Michael Crichton's novel will adventure onto Blu-ray in September. Pre-order it now.
In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers will be bringing 'Congo' to Blu-ray on September 16.
They've eluded heat-seeking missiles, gone eyeball-to-eyeball with enraged 5,000-pound hippos, hacked through a jungle curtain. Still, the expedition continues. Amy, a gorilla who was part of a university learning experiment, is at last returning home with the help of a professor (Dylan Walsh), electronics expert (Laura Linney), guide (Ernie Hudson) and explorer (Tim Curry). But she leads them to a place that's more than her home: it's the site of the fabled Lost City of Zinj and its diamond mines, as well as the habitat of a species of vicious and aggressive gray gorillas.
Specs and supplements haven't been revealed yet, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $14.97.
