Pre-order the Best Picture winner telling the inspiring true story of British athletes competing in the 1924 Olympics receiving Blu-ray digibook treatment in July!
In an early announcement to retailers, Warner Brothers is getting ready to release 'Chariots of Fire' on Blu-ray on July 10.
Ben Cross and Ian Charleson head a sterling cast of newcomers and veterans. The story, told in flashback, of two young British sprinters competing for fame in the 1924 Olympics. Eric, a devout Scottish missionary runs because he knows it must please God. Harold, the son of a newly rich Jew runs to prove his place in Cambridge society.
Specs have yet to be revealed, but the release will have digibook packaging and supplements will include: Commentary by Hugh Hudson; Wings on their Heels: The Making of Chariots of Fire; Chariots of Fire: A Reunion; Sprint Around the Quad; Famous Opening Shot; deleted scenes; screen tests; and three new featurettes produced for the Blu-ray -- Paris, 1924: Birth of the Modern Olympics; David Puttnam: A Cinematic Champion; and Hugh Hudson: Journey to the Gold plus a four-track CD sampler.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $35.99.
