Coming Soon to Blu-ray: New Titles from Vinegar Syndrome and Severin Films

Several cult flicks are in the works for Blu-ray.

Vinegar Syndrome and Severin Films have detailed a new assortment of Blu-ray titles set for release this spring. The lineup includes a wide assortment of cult, exploitation, and horror movies. 

First up, Vinegar Syndrome has announced its new lineup of Blu-rays scheduled to arrive later this month and in April... 

March 27

Jamaa Fanaka's Welcome Home Brother Charles / Emma Mae starring Marlo Monte, Reatha Grey, Stan Kamber, Jerri Hayes, and Ernest Williams II. Both films have been newly restored from their original camera negatives, and supplements will include: 

- "The History of the L.A. Rebellion & Jamaa Fanaka" - an appreciation by Jan-Christopher Horak, Director of the UCLA Film & Television Archive
- Post film Q&A with actress Jerri Hayes from a 2017 screening of EMMA MAE at BAMcinématek in Brooklyn, NY

Alexander Cassini's Star Time starring Michael St. Gerard, John P. Ryan, and Maureen Teefy. The film has been newly restored from its original 35mm camera negative and will be presented in its never-before-on-home-video original director's cut. Supplements will include:

Jess Franco's Sinfonia Erotica starring Lina Romay, Susan Hemingway, and Armando Borges. The disc will feature video sourced from a 4k scan of an uncut 35mm print donated by The Instituto de la Sexualidad Humana in Madrid. Supplements will include:

- Jess Franco on First Wife Nicole Guettard - Interview with Director Jess Franco.
- Stephen Thrower on Sinfonia Erotica - Interview with the author of "Murderous Passions - The Delirious Cinema of Jesus Franco."

Jess Franco's The Sadist of Notre Dame starring Lina Romay, Olivier Mathot, and Pierre Taylou. Supplements will include:

- The Gory Days of Le Brady - Documentary short on the legendary Parisian horror cinema.
- Stephen Thrower on Sadist of Notre Dame - Interview with the author of "Murderous Passions - The Delirious Cinema of Jesus Franco."
- Selected Scenes Commentary with "I'm In a Jess Franco State of Mind" Webmaster Robert Monell.

Spring

Joe D'Amato's Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals starring Laura Gemser, Gabriele Tinti, and Nieves Navarro. The disc will feature a brand new 2K remaster of the film prepared for this release. Likewise, the first 2,500 units will include a remastered CD copy of the film's original soundtrack. Supplements will include:
