Michael Apted's 1980 Oscar-nominated biopic of Loretta Lynn is bound for Blu-ray in January.
In an early announcement to retailers, Universal is preparing 'Coal Miner's Daughter' for Blu-ray on January 7.
Nominated for seven Academy Awards including Best Picture and based on the best-selling autobiography, Coal Miner's Daughter is the true story of legendary country star Loretta Lynn. The Blu-ray/Ultraviolet Digital Copy combo will feature 1080p video, a lossless 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Tommy Lee Jones Remembers Coal Miner's Daughter; Interview with Loretta Lynn and Director Michael Apted; President George Bush Sr. Salutes AFI and Coal Miner's Daughter; and Feature Commentary with Sissy Spacek and Director Michael Apted.
