The latest Disneynature documentary narrated by Tim Allen will hit Blu-ray in August.
In an early announcement to retailers, Disneynature will be bringing 'Chimpanzee' to Blu-ray on August 21.
The inspiring film follows the true-life adventure of Oscar, a young chimpanzee whose curiosity and zest for life showcase the intelligence and ingenuity of some of the most extraordinary personalities in the animal kingdom.
The release will be a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack with 1080p video, likely a English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and bonus supplements will feature In-depth behind-the-scenes footage showcasing the filmmakers efforts to document the making of the film; A feature on Disney's conservation legacy; and The McClain Sisters' "Rise" music video.
In an effort to aid chimpanzee conservation, Disneynature will also be donating a portion of all Chimpanzee home video proceeds earned through August 27, 2012, to the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI); these funds will help the JGI conserve chimpanzee habitats, educate the next generation of the species, and provide care for orphaned chimpanzees.
Suggested list price is $39.99.
