"without cause."
Martin O'Donnell, who went from writing Mr. Clean and Flintstones Vitamins jingles to doing sound design on 'Myst' sequel 'Riven' and ultimately became synonymous with Bungie and the 'Halo' series soundtrack, is out at Bungie. The parting was not described in terms of a mutual decision.
I'm saddened to say that Bungie's board of directors terminated me without cause on April 11, 2014.

O'Donnell had been a Bungie employee since 1999. O'Donnell's classical music background is likely one of the biggest keys for the 'Halo' soundtrack, and that soundtrack is not only enjoyed by a fervent fan base but has been regularly featured as one of the best in the biz. There's no telling yet how O'Donnell's completed 'Destiny' work will impact the game as a whole or where O'Donnell will go from here.
