Blue Underground has announced its latest cult film release, setting a late-April Blu-ray date for 'Fast Company.'
An early 1979 effort from David Cronenberg, 'Fast Company' stars William Smith, John Saxon, and the late Claudia Jennings in a tale of the fast company and crazy lives and loves of a group of stock car racers.
Blue Underground will give the cult fave its Blu-ray debut on April 28 (the company previously released a special edition DVD version in 2004).
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and audio options in English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 7.1 Surround and English Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Surround.
Among the extensive bonus features is audio commentary with Cronenberg, a pair of featurettes ("Inside the Character Actor's Studio," "Shooting Cronenberg"), two early Cronenberg short films ("Stereo" and "Crimes of the Future") and the theatrical trailer.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.99.
