Whoa, Nelly! The unacclaimed comedy might just stirrup laughter on Blu-ray this fall.
In an early announcement to retailers, 20th Century Fox will be releasing 'Mr. Ed (2012)' on Blu-ray later this year.
From director Eric Brevig ('Yogi Bear') comes one of the least talked about comedies of the year, 'Mr. Ed!' Ed Helms ('The Hangover') "brings the beloved steed to life with his seductive voice acting" (The New Yorker) as a horse who might just find glory at the Kentucky Derby.
It's no ordinary day at the races when famed jockey Wilbur Post (Steve Carell) begins to hear a strange voice coming from the stables a few hours before showtime, and soon discovers that the voice belongs to the prize racehorse, Mr. Ed (Helms). What follows is "an unconventional underdog story for the masses" (Time Magazine) that's almost as sweet as a kick in the teeth!
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is four lumps of sugar and a bale of hay.
