More media options have been added to Amazon's streaming player.
Over the last three months, Amazon has expanded its Fire TV lineup with more than 600 new channels, apps, and games.
"The team is working hard and moving incredibly fast to bring even more movies, TV shows, live TV, sports, music, channels, apps and games to the Amazon Fire TV platform every week—and it shows. Amazon Fire TV selection has grown 127% in just the last 6 months, and is continuing to accelerate," said Steve Rabuchin, Vice President Amazon Appstore. "With the addition of new titles like Fox News, Popcornflix, Candy Crush Saga and GameFly, customers now have access to even more of their favorite TV shows, news content, top quality games and live TV."
New media and gaming options include Popcornflix, Funny Or Die, Candy Crush Saga, and Fox News. Likewise, the Fire TV platform now supports GameFly streaming as well, allowing customers play top quality PC Games using the Fire TV game controller ($40). The Fire TV and Fire TV Stick also continue to support a bevy previously available apps, including popular services like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Sling TV, HBO Go, SHOWTIME ANYTIME, and WatchESPN.
