The company's latest tablet has been revealed.
Amazon has detailed the newest version of its Fire HD 10 tablet. The new model offers improved performance and longer battery life over the previous generation model.
"We've made our best tablet even better with a faster processor, longer battery life, and faster charging," said Kevin Keith, Vice President, Amazon Devices. 'The all-new Fire HD 10 has everything you need for entertainment with plenty of storage for your favorite videos, games, music, and books at home or on the go—and still under $150."
The new Fire HD 10 features a 10.1" widescreen Full HD 1080p display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and 224 ppi. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by an octa-core 2.0 GHz processor and 2 GB RAM. Meanwhile, the improved battery is now rated for up to 12 hours of mixed-use and the device supports faster charging via a USB-C (2.0) connection. An HD 720p front-facing camera and a 2 MP rear-facing camera are integrated as well, along with custom-tuned, stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos audio playback capabilities. Finally, the tablet also offers dual band 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity and hands-free Alexa voice control.

Amazon's new Fire HD 10 is now available for pre-order with 32GB or 64GB of storage in Plum, Twilight Blue, Black or White color options for prices starting at $149.99. Shipments are set to begin on October 30.
