Return to the blocky DC Universe this Fall.
Developer Traveler's Tales and WB Games just announced 'Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham,' a game set to rival 'Lego Marvel Super Heroes' in both scope and scale. Playable heroes like Cyborg and Wonder Woman are being drawn from the Justice League, while villains such as Lex Luthor and, of course, the Joker, arise from the Legion of Doom. Over 150 characters are on the roster. There's even a trailer to go with the announcement.
Reports out of various outlets are describing a much larger game than 'Lego Batman' past. Kotaku even describes some 'Resogun'-like space shooter levels to supplement the cooperative third-person action expected in any Lego title. Batman and the gang will sport various costumes, some of which take them into space.
According to the Youtube channel:
"In LEGO Batman™ 3: Beyond Gotham, the Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. Using the power of the Lantern Rings, Brainiac shrinks worlds to add to his twisted collection of miniature cities from across the universe. Now the greatest super heroes and the most cunning villains must unite and journey to different Lantern Worlds to collect the Lantern Rings and stop Brainiac before it's too late."
So there you have it. 'Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham' is coming out this Fall on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, 3DS and PC. Basically it's coming out everywhere it possibly can.
