Want to stream a movie from your computer to a friend's TV? Skifta lets you do it.
Every once in a while we get a taste of what the future's going to be like and Skifta tastes sweet. It gives Android users a crazy amount of freedom with your audio and video files.
Using Skifta, you can access your computer's media files from anywhere via a Wi-Fi or 3G connection. It'll work with PC, Mac and Linux so there's no worry about compatibility and all you need to do is run the Skifta software on your home computer.
Pretty slick right? It gets better. Skifta allows you to go one step further and stream that content from your phone to a DLNA or UPnP device. That means if you're at your friend's house and you want to listen to music stored on your PC, your Android phone or tablet can do it.
We're just going to go ahead and assume the video quality won't be great on anything you're streaming, but that's something that can come with time. For now, the convenience is a great start.
