SVS Launches its First Full Range Speakers
Thu Feb 07, 2013 at 02:00 PM ETTags: SVS, Speakers (all tags)
The 3.5 way tower speakers come in at $1,998 a pair.
The folks at SVS have just announced a first. Their new SVS Ultra Towers are full-range speakers, which is a new line for the company. They feature an elegant trapezoidal shape and boast some impressive specs.
Mids are doled out by a pair of 6.5 inch drivers in separate sealed enclosures. They're made of glass-fiber cones and designed for improved sensitivity. The bass is where things get a little bit different. SVS has packed two eight-inch woofer – one on either side of the cabinet. They say that this allows for a tighter bass response and more powerful and accurate bass throughout the room.
The new speakers are available at $999 each and come with a 45 day in-home trial with free shipping both ways, so you've plenty of time to test them out.
