Three new speaker models have been added to the company's Motion series.
MartinLogan has announced the addition of three more speakers to its Motion line. The Motion series has been designed to offer a more affordable alternative to the company's ultra-high-end electrostatic loudspeakers.
The new models include the floorstanding Motion 60XT, the center channel Motion 50XT, and the bookshelf Motion 35XT. All three speakers use the company's Folded Motion XT tweeter technology which offers a fast transient response and a large surface area to deliver realistic and precise high frequencies. In addition to the Folded Motion tweeter, the Motion 60XT also features Dual 8-inch woofers with rear-firing bass ports and a dedicated 6.5-inch mid woofer. Meanwhile, the 50XT features two 6.5-inch woofers that are paired with the Folded Motion XT tweeter. Finally, the 35XT features a single 6.5-inch woofer that complements it own Folded Motion XT tweeter.
The 60XT ($3,000 per pair), the 50XT ($900), and the 35XT ($1,200 per pair) are expected to ship at the end of July. They join the currently available Motion 15 ($400), Motion 20 ($749), Motion 30 ($649), and Motion 40 ($949).
