The HECTO Laser TV System gives you 100 inches of picture at 22 inches away.
The folks at LG are bringing lasers to CES this year, but not in a weaponized form to destroy the booths of their enemies as we've been anticipating. Instead, we're seeing a combo projector and screen made to wow home theater owners.
LG calls it the HECTO Laser TV System, and they've packed it full of impressive stats. It can fill the 100 inch screen at just 22 inches away and the laser based lighting gives you a ridiculous 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It also packs technology to fight off ambient light and provide a better picture in all situations.
The new projector boasts a built-in TV tuner, a range of inputs and even has Smart TV functionality. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
