Fox has confirmed final specs for 'Max Payne,' which will arrive on Blu-ray this January with hours of bonus features and exclusive content.
As announced late last month, Fox will debut the film on Blu-ray January 20, day-and-date with the standard DVD.
Final tech specs will see both the theatrical nand unrated cuts of the film (accessible via seamless branching) on a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (2.40:1) and English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround audio (48kHz/24-bit).
Extras will include audio commentary (with director John Moore, production designer Daniel Dorrance, and visual effects supervisor Everett Burrell), the first of a two-part making-of featurette, and a "Michelle Payne" animated graphic novel.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray is the second part of the featurette, a "Walkthroughs & Cheats" picture-in-picture track (Bonus View, and on the theatrical version only), plus additional PIP interviews with Moore.
Also included on a second DVD disc in the set is a Digital Copy of the film (standard-def only) that is compatible with PCs, PSP, and iTunes.
As previously reported, suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.99.
