Sony Scares Up 'The Messengers' on Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the PG-13 spookfest 'The Messengers' for Blu-ray release, shrieking into stores on June 5.
Starring 'Panic Room's Kristen Stewart, the haunted house flick earned a respectable $35 million at the domestic box office, and -- like most horror movies -- should do even better on video.
Sony will give the film a fairly loaded Blu-ray release, including a 1080p video transfer and uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround track (48kHz/16-bit/4.6mbps) plus an audio commentary, multiple making-of featurettes and theatrical trailers.
Retail is $38.95.
'The Messengers' joins a suite of recently-announced Sony Blu-ray releases (including 'Hellboy,' 'Meatballs' and 'Rescue Me: Season 3') under June 5 in our Blu-ray Release Schedule.
