Sony Gets 'Closer' to Blu-ray
Tue Mar 13, 2007 at 04:26 PM ETTags: Disc Announcements, Sony (all tags)
Julia Roberts and Jude Law will heat up Blu-ray this spring, when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment brings the adult drama 'Closer' to the format on May 22.
The Mike Nichols-directed film, which also stars Academy Award nominees Clive Owen and Natalie Portman, grossed over $100 million at the worldwide box office.
Sony's Blu-ray release will be just as bereft of supplements as all previous standard-def releases of the film. Aside from a 1.85:1 widescreen 1080p transfer and uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround rack, as of now there is nary a single extra planned for the Blu-ray.
Sony has set a $28.95 list price for 'Closer.'
Full specs for the title have been added to our Blu-ray Release Schedule, under May 22. Stay tuned for final box art in the days ahead.
