'Ghost' to Haunt Blu-ray, HD DVD This Summer
Fri Apr 27, 2007 at 12:02 AM ETTags: Disc Announcements, Paramount (all tags)
Paramount Home Entertainment has announced they will bring the supernatural blockbuster 'Ghost' to Blu-ray and HD DVD on July 24.
The surprise hit of 1990, the Patrick Swayze-Demi Moore romantic thriller scared up nearly $200 million in domestic box office alone, as well as earning multiple Academy Award nominees including Best Picture (and a Best Supporting Actress win for co-star Whoopi Goldberg).
Paramount recently gave the picture a new special edition overhaul on DVD this past March; the studio will be carrying over all of those newly-produced bonus features for the next-gen release.
Among the spooky special features are an audio commentary with director Jerry Zucker and screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin, four featurettes, a still gallery, and the film's original theatrical trailer.
Tech specs have not yet been announced, but stay tuned for full details in the days ahead.
Paramount has set a $29.95 list price for both the Blu-ray and HD DVD editions.
We've added the latest specs for 'Ghost' to our Blu-ray Release Schedule and HD DVD Release Schedule, under July 24.
