The fourth and final film in the animated series is coming to Blu-ray in December in two flavors -- as a standalone release and as part of a gift set containing all four movies!
In an early announcement to retailers, Paramount through DreamWorks is working on 'Shrek Forever After' starring the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and Antonio Banderas for a high-definition release on December 7.
'Shrek: The Whole Story' (a boxed set containing all four films: 'Shrek,' 'Shrek 2,' 'Shrek the Third,' and 'Shrek Forever After') will also be available on the same date.
Although 'Shrek the Third' has already been released on Blu-ray, there's still no word when the first two films will be available separately.
Specs haven't been revealed yet, but supplements will include: "12 Days of Christmas" Pop-up Book, Deleted Scenes, Interactive Games, Preview of "Shrek the Musical", Insider's Look, and more, plus for a limited time only both releases will also include the all-new Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular and Shrek's Yule Log (a virtual fireplace featuring over 25 characters from the films).
Suggested list price for 'Shrek Forever After' is $41.99 and the collection is $79.99.
