Sony Pictures has announced a July Blu-ray date for the classic '70s drama 'Midnight Express.'
The shocking true-life tale of American Billy Hayes, who spent years incarcerated in a Turkish prison, will make its Blu-ray debut on July 21 (Sony has previously-released a special edition DVD version).
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (1.78:1) and English audio tracks in Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround and the original 1.0 Mono.
Bonus features include audio commentary with director Alan Parker, a trio of featurettes ("The Producers," "The Production," "The Finished Film") and a still gallery.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be deluxe packaging that includes a collectible booklet, as well as BD-Live connectivity.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $38.96.
