'I Saw the Devil' Blu-ray Detailed[teaser]The widely acclaimed 2010 South Korean film getting a Blu-ray release next month has been fully detailed. [/teaser] As previously reported, Magnolia has revealed 'I Saw the Devil' is coming to Blu-ray on May 10. Kinect Control Comes to Netflix on the Xbox 360[teaser]Control options are a little limited, but it's a start. [/teaser] Kinect owners across the country can now use their hands to control Netflix thanks to the latest update from Microsoft. By using hand or voice commands, you're able to browse through your library. Don't put down that controller yet. If you actually want to play a movie, you're still required to enter that command from an Xbox 360 controller. The folks at Joystiq gave Microsoft a call for some clarification on this and it turns out that while you can play "recommended films" through a special Kinect dashboard, anything in your normal queue is a no go. 'The Other Woman' Dated for Blu-ray[teaser]The drama also known as 'Love and Other Impossible Pursuits' is bound for Blu-ray next month. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, MPI has slated 'The Other Woman' for high-definition on May 17. Academy Award winner Natalie Portman ('Black Swan') in an "utterly fearless performance" (Rob Nelson, Variety) stars as a newlywed trying to cope with guilt and loss in this sensitive and compelling modern drama adapted by writer-director Don Roos ('The Opposite of Sex') from the novel by Ayelet Waldman. 'Stargate Atlantis: The Complete Series' Announced for Blu-ray[teaser]The entire run of Syfy's 2004 sci-fi series will be getting the Blu-ray treatment in July. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, MGM/UA will be bringing 'Stargate Atlantis: The Complete Series' to Blu-ray on July 26. The series was nominated for four Primetime Emmys, two Saturn Awards, and racked up a host of other honors during its course of five seasons. 'Battle Beyond the Stars' Announced for Blu-ray[teaser]Another Roger Corman Cult Classic is on the way to Blu-ray this July. [/teaser] In an early announcement to retailers, Shout Factory says 'Battle Beyond the Stars' starring George Peppard, Robert Vaughn, and Richard Thomas and is planned for Blu-ray on July 12. Sony Titles Now Available as DVD Made On Demand[teaser]You can find over 150 classic Sony titles on WarnerArchive.com and Columbia-Classics.com[/teaser] It can be incredibly difficult to track down lesser-known films on DVD because great though they may be, the studios need to be able to make money. That results in quite a few movies being overlooked when it comes to placement on store shelves. Warner's solution is a pair of sites - WarnerArchive.com and Columbia-Classics.com - which allow users to order these DVDs online. Both of which have just had an infusion of new movies thanks to a partnership with Sony. "This is another step in the execution of our multi-platform distribution strategy to cultivate the market for the remarkable films in our vault," says Sony Pictures VP John Calkins. 'Deep Red' Blu-ray Delayed[teaser]Dario Argento's 1975 cult classic originally planned for a Blu-ray release this month is now coming in May. [/teaser] As previously reported, Blue Underground was planning to release 'Deep Red' on Blu-ray on April 26, but now that date has been pushed to May 17. The release will be a two-disc set which will include the uncensored English-language version as well as the Italian Director's Cut as a Blu-ray exclusive.
