Pre-order and collector's editions also detailed.
Were you having a quiet, pleasant morning today? Well, how's about we take that pleasant morning and completely mutilate that sucker before your horrified eyes?
Bethesda has taken time out of their busy Thursday to drop a new trailer for their upcoming 'Doom' reboot, as well as lay out their release plans.
The game is set to release on PS4, Xbox, and PC on May 13th. If you pre-order, you'll get the Demon Multiplayer Pack, which includes a set of demon armor, three skins for said armor, six metallic paint colors, three Id Software logo patterns for weapons and armor, and a set of six consumable Hack Modules. Conspicuously missing: A partridge in a pear tree.
Bethesda also revealed the Collector's Edition of the game, which will include a 12-inch tall model of the Revenant from the game. While a 12-inch statue of Leonardo DiCaprio being mauled by a bear and Tom Hardy muttering incoherently might have its own special appeal, this one's more along the lines of a PVC statue of a fleshy, skeletal horror with chainguns strapped to its torso, with a rotating, ominous mood light built into the base. That bad boy will run you $119.99.
Last but not least, Bethesda also dropped a new trailer for the game. it's labeled a story trailer, in which case, far as we can tell, that story begins with "Once upon a time, there was a man who lived on Mars who really liked exploding torsos." Enjoy.
