Let the haunting ensue.
Night Light Interactive's 'Whispering Willows' has been haunting PCs since last year (and, appropriately, the OUYA before that), but now, courtesy of LOOT Interactive's debut slate of published indies, 'Whispering Willows' is being released on the PS4 and Vita.
The cross-buy 2D horror-adventure/puzzler has been adapted for the PS4 to have a 1080p 60fps presentation. In 'Whispering Willows,' players take control of Elena Elkhorn, who has decided to enter into the entirely creepy and haunted Willows mansion in search of her father. Fortunately for Elena (and for players), she has an amulet that allows her to possess spirits, and thereby make them helpful. That means solving puzzles and finding clues.
As a special launch offer, PlayStation Plus members can nab 'Whispering Willows' Limited Edition, which includes the PS4 version, the Vita version, and a dynamic PS4 theme, for $9.99. Non PS Plus member price is $12.99 for the LE bundle. (The theme is available separately for $3.99).
From David Sterling, managing director of LOOT Interactive, "Whispering Willows is a captivating adventure that embodies the kind of memorable, challenging gameplay we want LOOT to become known for. We love the original gameplay, hand-painted artwork and compelling story that Whispering Willows offers and we’re thrilled to kick off LOOT Interactive’s summer release schedule with such a unique title."
'Whispering Willows' will be available today on the PS4 and Vita just as soon as the store updates.
