Kalypso also planning 360, Mac, and Steam OS releases.
Publisher Kalypso Media has set a release date for the PC version of 'Tropico 5.' The latest installment of the cheeky island-governing (dictator simualtion) series is coming to the PC on May 23rd. A version for the 360 and the Mac is due out this summer, as is a special Linux/Steam OS version. Finally, this fall, there will be a version for the PS4.
'Tropico 5' features new challenges, new trading mechanics, new research trees, and all-new 4 player cooperative and competitive modes.
As a reminder of the series' El Presidente's origins, Kalypso Media has also released a trailer that means to remind all players that every president was one a pirate.
While 'Tropico 5' is due out for the PC digitally on May 23rd, a retail version will follow on May 27th.
