PS4, Xbox One, and PC gamers be ready for DTS Headphone:X
Anyone who is in the market for a new headset should be keeping an on eye on Turtle Beach this week. The company is celebrating a 40 year anniversary and is offering a daily set of discounts. These aren't the typical 10-15% off discounts, and some of the best headsets on the market are going to have deep discounts for a short period of time.
Today sees PlayStation headsets on sale. (See here.)
Tomorrow it's Xbox headsets.
But Thursday is something bigger. Thursday is the anniversary day. 10.15.15 (equals 40)
Lest anyone glance at the sale today and doubt what is to come, here are three discounts to expect at some point this week.
The Ear Force Z60 60mm driver (USB and 3.5mm) DTS Headphone:X PC gaming headset will be $79.95, down from $119.95 ($40 savings) (Review here, product page here.)
The Turtle Beach Elite 800 wireless (aka along with the 800X my favorite current gaming headset), noise-cancelling, DTS Headphone:X Surround Sound PS4 gaming headset will be $239.95, down from $299.95 ($60 savings) (Review here, product page here.)
The Ear Force Stealth 500X wireless, one of the few fully wireless Xbox One headsets, also has DTS Headphone:X Surround Sound, and will be $179.95, down from $229.95 ($50 savings) (Review here, product page here.)
Notice that these highlights include three DTS Headphone:X headsets. Turtle Beach has been a trailblazer in many areas, including the adoption of DTS Headphone:X. The PS4, PS3, and mobile gaming Elite 800 offers more and in a great package than just about anything else on the market. That's a discount that is not to be missed.
And there is an even more intriguing headset upgrade option for those attending the MLG Finals this Friday and Saturday in New Orleans. Turtle Beach is letting the first 40 fans on each day who bring in a non-Turtle Beach gaming headset to the Turtle Beach booth trade that old headset in for an Ear Force XO Seven Pro (review here).
This offer is free, and the headset will include two sets of speaker plates, a set of MLG branded ones and a set of pink ones meant to denote October's status as Breast Cancer Awareness month.
(Non-Turtle Beach gaming headsets traded-in must not be ear buds, and must be either a stereo or surround sound gaming headset with a mic.)
